Coaching

We are now offering blocks of 4 x 90 minute coaching sessions with one of our highly qualified and experienced executive and development coaches at extremely reasonable rates.

Our coaches provide a personalised approach so that everyone has the opportunity to think, reflect and increase their self-awareness, which leads to them maximising their potential.

What can coaching help with?
  • Connecting with purpose
  • People management and how to work well with colleagues & citizens
  • Seeing things from a different perspective
  • Overcoming limiting & unhelpful beliefs
  • Finding time & ways to self-care and increase resilience
  • Time management, objectives, goals & action-planning
  • Refocussing & re-energising & increasing motivation

The coaching will take place via Zoom or Teams every 4/5 weeks. People tend to have an average of 6 sessions (it can be more or less).

Here is what a senior healthcare leader said:

What did you want the coaching to help you with?

I wanted the coaching sessions to enhance my leadership skills. I had a number of particularly challenging work issues including complex situations, difficult relationships, pressures and high (unrealistic) expectations of myself, which were resulting in excessive work hours and I felt at risk of burnout.

What was happening before the coaching?

I was just getting on with things, working long hours to get work done and generally feeling constantly exhausted. I wasn’t allowing myself the time and space to just ‘stop and think’.

How did the coaching help?

The coaching enabled me to fully appreciate the importance of managing work pressures and workload in different ways: a) within available resources b) identifying additional resources and c) further delegation and d) thinking creatively, working with others and through others.

What happened as a result of the coaching?

I have improved my diary management, which now includes space/time for reflection and learning. I have increased staffing through the use of options I hadn’t previously considered such as short-term contracts and trainee schemes. I have developed matrix working within the department which has enabled others to contribute to programme objectives. I have improved collaboration with external stakeholders across the system.

How would you describe the coaching style?

I would describe it as non-judgemental, empowering, enabling and supportive. I have been persistently (but gently) encouraged to think more deeply to get to the root of the problem and identify the solution. My coach is patient and thoughtful and takes a ‘whole person’ approach, encouraging me to consider a wide range of contributory elements to help me get to where I want/need to be.

The course had great speakers and networking opportunities. It was co-designed in a less traditional manner which added a richness and vibrancy unlike anything I had done before
